Over the last 25 years, Palomba Serafini Associati has transferred the concept of hypertext from computer science to design. Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini’s methodology uses hypertextuality to create pieces of design functioning as cross-sectoral objects, originating an infinite network of possible connections.

Each creation is the result of a coherent research, developing from an interaction of thoughts, inspirations and intuitions. Refusing any linear approach as well as all aesthetic and formal stylisms, Palomba and Serafini rediscover what being a designer means, thinking about objects’ function before designing their shape.
//Ipertesto celebrates the twenty-fifth anniversary of Palomba Serafini Associati at Tommaso Calabro Gallery in Milan, with unique pieces of furniture, designed in collaboration with leading Italian and international design companies —
CC—tapis, Ferri1956, Fiam, Foscarini, Giorgetti, Glebanite, Horm, Kartell, Lorenzon Project, Poltrona Frau, Vesta, Zanat, Zanotta — and selfproduced objects.

The 25 pieces of design are fragments of a journey through the most diverse languages — from organic to geometric research, from order to disorder. Although they are rich with personal references, they offer everyone the possibility to build a reading path according to one’s own sensitivity.
